Very often I have already experienced the approach to Vancouver, such an opportunity as in this year to take pictures is pretty rare. So direct on the west coast you have always to expect rain or heavy cloud formation.

The Wiesent River and the Weather

The Wiesent in Franconia is in the lower part still reasonably fine. Opposite to that situation, smaller waters are already lacking in water. Especially the upper parts are strongly affected. It's time for the government to think about the future, preferably before it's too late.

In Whitehorse the Yukon is still a relatively small river. Here, at Dawson City, many large rivers have already drained into the Yukon, such as the Stewart River, the Pelly River to name the largest. Rivers like the Pelly, which are almost exclusively fed by glaciers, ensure a visible cloudiness of the yukon over the whole summer.

The Yukon is full of natural beauty. This canyon landscape is just a few miles from Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon. For swimming, this water is not suitable, the current is incredibly strong. Those who fall in there will only survive with a lot of luck. The massive number of warning signs speaks for itself.

Of course, there is also a bit of curiosity, but actually such an stocktaking will help to control the stocking better the next few years. However, electricfishing should not be repeated too often.

 The transition from the end of winter into spring sometimes takes only two weeks. The warmth of the sun is like a promise of the coming, beautiful months. Let us use this time, whether in fly fishing or simply in nature.

Fly fishing classes and meetings in Velden on the Pegnitz

Well over 30 years I offer fly fishing clinics in Velden. Not quite that long the fly fishing meeting takes place in Velden. In four weeks, from 26.04. until 28.04.2019, it's time again, as usual at the Gasthof zur Traube. Fly fishing, fun, fly tying and a good time awaits visitors.
