Before I went home, I really wanted to fish on the Bulkley River. Unfortunately, there were a few complications again. Finally, I finally reached Germany unharmed.

The drive on the Canada Highway leads into a fantastic mountain world. 1800 km, however, is quite a distance to Prince George. From there another 700 km to the south took us to a small steelhead river in BC.

Let's see how Corona continues this year. At this time last year everything was still normal. Whether the long-haul trips will work again in 2021, how the vaccinations will continue, etc. We don't have to do much more than to wait. Happy 2021 everyone!

 In the lower part the Wiesent has a lot of space to spread out. The valley there is over 1.5 km wide! The flood can spread their without causing damage. In summer, canals provide irrigation for the meadows.

The gold bead nymph, almost a myth? I think so!

The nymph has been fishing for a long time. At that time, the separation between nymph and wet fly was rather blurred! The nymph with head, this one at the beginning made of brass, is about 30 years old! Learn more about the nymph with a head.

It's not nice to get caught early in the morning. This place is just 20 meters away from the Bulkley River near the town of Smithers.
