The Thompson River is a tributary of the Fraser River, by Wolfgang Fabisch

The image shows the Thompson River with very low water levels.

The Thomson at low water

The water is low and very clear, not good conditions for fly fishing. However, the river is usually closed under these conditions.

One of the most famous places in Vancouver - Canada, by Wolfgang Fabisch

Canada Square, Vancouver Canada

The most famous place in Vancouver?

Actually, it almost doesn't matter when you visit Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. Okay, good rain gear is a must in the winter time. You should also always have an umbrella with you in summer. Whatever the weather in Vancouver, there's always something going on.

It's not a good idea to fall into the water here, by Wolfgang Fabisch

The Bulkley River out of control

The Bulkley River at Moricetown

The Bulkley River is a large river, so it's like that at high tide. Falling into the water at this water level will probably result in the death of the person!

50 years of fly fishing, Wolfgang Fabisch

50 years ago  I took a fly rod in my hand for the first time. My father and I fished at the same time on the Diemel river under the guidance of an American. I was 12 years old at that time and fly fishing soon became the only type of fishing I indulged in.
I also celebrate another event in 2020, namely 30 years of Steelhead fly fishing in Canada on Vancouver Island.

The destination in BC was Campbell River on Vancouver Island
First time in BC - Canada, 1990
Kind regards, Wolfgang Fabisch
